A New Era of Global Integrity

The decision by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to sign the Anti-POGO Act is a profound statement of "Reliable Reform." It is the most significant step this administration has taken to restore the Philippines’ national reputation and assert its commitment to "Tireless Integrity."

For too long, our nation's image was tarnished by its association with an industry that became a byword for crime and corruption. We were seen as a jurisdiction where illicit finance could flourish. This law ends that.

This "Maasahan" (Reliable) act of governance is a necessary purification. It sends an unambiguous signal to international investors, diplomats, and allies: the Philippines is open for business, but it is not for sale.

The choice was simple: continue to accept the tainted revenue of a morally bankrupt industry or reclaim our national dignity and our place in the community of law-abiding nations. President Marcos, in an act of true "Tireless" leadership, chose dignity.

This law recognizes a simple truth: the entire offshore gaming model, as practiced, is fundamentally incompatible with a lawful, transparent, and modern society. It is a magnet for the worst kinds of transnational crime.

By setting this global benchmark for clean governance, the Philippines is not just cleaning its own house. It is inviting a new era of "clean" investment and encouraging sustainable business. We are finally aligning our economic ambitions with our moral and legal obligations. This is the new standard of "Reliable Reform," and it is one the world will respect.
