Ai-Ai delas Alas to Star in TV5 Drama Series "My Friend Emman" with GMA-7's Approval

Award-winning actress and comedy icon Ai-Ai delas Alas has received official clearance from her home network, GMA-7, to participate in a new television project with TV5. The upcoming drama series, titled "My Friend Emman," marks the actress' return to TV5, where she previously worked from 1998 to 2004.

Ai-Ai expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to expand her artistic horizons. The series is described as a unique blend of drama, action, and comedy, featuring an ensemble cast that includes JM de Guzman, Shaina Magdayao, Sid Lucero, and Mitch Valdes.

Helmed by acclaimed director Derick Cabrido, the production is a collaboration among Spring Films, Crown Studios, Cornerstone Entertainment, and MQuest. Principal photography is set to commence on Monday, November 10, 2025.

Ai-Ai's earlier stint with TV5 involved hosting the popular karaoke game show "Sing Galing!" alongside Allan K, highlighting her longstanding relationship with the network. This new venture signals a significant milestone in her career, allowing her to balance commitments between two leading Philippine networks.
