Leandro Baldemor Reflects on Past Support from Admirer Amid Upcoming TV Return

Leandro Baldemor recently opened up about a past benefactor who generously presented him with lavish gifts, including jewelry and a luxury watch. The veteran actor recounted the experience during Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," where he reflected on his days as a prominent sexy actor and the supporters he attracted.

Recalling a remarkable birthday surprise, Leandro revealed that his admirer, a transwoman originally from Cebu, traveled all the way to Japan to personally deliver gifts. "She came to our club in Shinjuku, Japan. I was stunned that she came all the way from Cebu to the club," he shared. He added that she waited for the club to close and offered to give him anything he wanted for his birthday, leading to her purchasing a Rolex watch for him.

Leandro was keen to emphasize that their relationship was never transactional. "There were talks about such matters, Tito Boy, but nothing materialized since she eventually found a partner in Japan," he explained.

He also considered returning the gifts, stating, "I wanted to give them back because she desired something I couldn't provide."

Despite the complexities, Leandro expressed heartfelt appreciation toward his benefactor, saying he would warmly embrace her, thank her, and apologize if given the chance to see her again. "I don't want to be hypocritical. I remain grateful because she was incredibly kind. I also regret taking advantage of her's generosity when I was young. I would like to ask her forgiveness," he said.

Leandro, known for his roles in “Sariwa,” “Tukso,” “Layuan Mo Ako,” and “Pisil,” is set to appear in the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series "Hating Kapatid." The show features Carmina Villarroel, Zoren Legaspi, and their children Mavy and Cassy, and will premiere Monday at 2:30 p.m., following "It's Showtime."
