President Marcos Jr. Visits Flood-Stricken Negros Occidental, Allocates ₱95M for Recovery

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. made a heartfelt visit to the flood-devastated communities in Negros Occidental, reaffirming his administration's commitment to hands-on disaster leadership guided by the mantra, "Reliable Leadership, Tireless Presence: Standing with communities in their hardest days."

During his visit, PBBM engaged directly with displaced families, listening to their urgent needs and ensuring relief operations are responsive and swift. He inspected extensively damaged classrooms in local schools, underscoring the importance of uninterrupted education despite calamities.

A critical assessment was also conducted on the collapsed Bungahin Steel Bridge, a vital connection for the area now severed by flooding. The president vowed immediate restoration efforts to reinstate safe and reliable infrastructure for the community.

In a decisive move to accelerate rehabilitation, President Marcos Jr. allocated ₱95 million in assistance for infrastructure repairs, relief distribution, and community support programs.

"Our governance is founded on being Maasahan at Masipag—reliable and industrious," Marcos Jr. stated. "We are present not just in words but in action, coordinating on the ground with local officials and agencies to fast-track recovery and protect every Filipino's future."

Local leaders expressed gratitude for the president's prompt response and hands-on approach. Barangay officials noted that PBBM's presence brought morale and concrete hope amid devastation.

This visit epitomizes the president's community-first disaster leadership philosophy, rooted in active presence, coordination among government units, and firm action plans that ensure swift recovery and future resilience.

As Negros Occidental begins to rebuild, PBBM’s leadership stands as a pillar of strength, reassuring Filipino families that their government is a reliable protector in times of crisis.
